She/Her | Registered dietitian
I am passionate about helping individuals make peace with food and their body by creating a safe environment for learning and discovery. My goal is to empower my clients to make choices based on body attunement, nourishment, and satisfaction - all following evidence-based principles. I want to help individuals reject the many cultural messages that cause unnecessary suffering and interfere with our ability to trust our bodies.
It takes a lot of courage and strength to engage in recovery. You deserve to be free of the guilt and shame that often comes with disordered eating. As you work on developing compassionate self-awareness, you will be able to begin a healing journey. This work can be tough, but the reward of being in recovery is worth it!
I am a mom of four teen and adult children. In my free time, you can find me reading, listening to podcasts, taking walks with my dog, Otis, playing tennis, or spending time with my family. I enjoy traveling and discovering the best food in the cities we stay in. I love to quilt and have quite the fabric collection.
I grew up in a high-demand religious environment, and I put a lot of pressure on myself to do everything “right.” In my efforts to be the “best version” of myself, I started restricting my food intake at age 14, which led to the development of an eating disorder that followed me through college. This work is important to me because I want to become the helper I never had. I had so much shame about my eating disorder and did not get to work through it until later in life. I want to destigmatize eating disorders and help people get curious about the impact that diet culture has on their lives and how, by bringing their eating disorder into the light, they can heal their relationship with food and their body.
